BIOGRAPHY

Prof. Dr. Shahida Manzoor is a distinguished artist, art historian, academician, researcher, and administrator with over 35 years of teaching and administrative experience at Ohio University, USA, the University of the Punjab, and currently as Dean and Professor at the School of Art, Institute for Art and Culture. Dr Shahida also served as Pro-Vice Chancellor at Institute for Art and Culture. With over two decades of post-PhD experience, she has supervised doctoral research in Art History, Theory, Aesthetics and Studio practice. She has served as Principal College of Art & Design, University of the Punjab (2014-2020). She earned her PhD degree in Interdisciplinary Arts , Ohio University USA, being the first Pakistani Women with this prestigious degree. A Gold Medalist in MFA (Painting) and recipient of the Shakir Ali Award, she has conducted four solo exhibitions and participated in over 60 national and international group exhibitions. Prof. Dr. Shahida Manzoor has served as a Member of the Senate Academic Council of Punjab University, Permanent member of Selection Board of Women University Sialkot, member Board of Governors National College of Arts, and Alhamra Arts Council. She has also made significant contributions to higher education through her roles as member National Curriculum Revision Committee of Higher Education Commission for Fine Arts and Architecture.
