Mr. Muhammad Humza Iqbal is a fashion designer and a lecturer at the Institute of Art and Culture, School of Art, Department of Fashion Design. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design, where he graduated in 2021 with distinction for his thesis project.
Prior to entering academia, he gained extensive professional experience working with leading fashion houses including Zara Shah Jahan, Élan, Zaha, and Beechtree, and completed early-career internships at Nilofer Shahid and Sapphire Retail. Throughout his industry career, he actively worked in collaborative team environments, managed design projects, supervised interns, and contributed as a team lead, developing strong organizational, mentoring, and creative problem-solving skills.
As a lecturer at the Institute of Art and Culture, Mr. Iqbal brings industry-oriented insight into the classroom, bridging professional practice with academic learning. His teaching approach emphasizes conceptual development, technical accuracy, and experimentation, encouraging students to explore innovative design solutions while building strong foundational skills.
