Duration: 3 Weeks

Age Limit: 14 Years and Above

Days: Monday – Thursday

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Fee Structure: PKR 10,000 (for three weeks)

Course Overview


This course introduces students to traditional and contemporary textile design practices including weaving, digital design manipulation, and printing techniques inspired by handcrafted and modern aesthetics.

Course Objectives


By the end of the course, students will:

  • Understand traditional and contemporary textile design practices.
  • Learn on-loom weaving techniques and textile construction.
  • Develop digital textile design skills using professional software tools.
  • Apply design principles to create industry-oriented textile layouts.
  • Produce creative woven and printed textile compositions.

Weekly Breakdown

Week 1: On-Loom Weaving


Instructor: Ms. Sania Mubarik & Ms. Anita Shamsher

Venue: Textile Studio 4th Floor

  • Develop and apply effective color schemes and design principles in on-loom weaving.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in basic on-loom weaving techniques.
  • Construct two functional table mats with proper finishing techniques.
  • Explore creativity, craftsmanship, and material handling skills.

Week 2: Digital Textile Design


Instructor: Mr. Zafar Shakeel & Ms. Nimra Sajjad

Venue: Textile Studio 4th Floor

  • Learn essential digital design tools and software functions.
  • Understand composition elements and design principles.
  • Develop original textile design products.
  • Create industry-oriented layouts for digital printing applications.

Week 3: Printing Techniques


Instructor: Mr. Meer Hamza & Mr. Muhammad Awais

Venue: Printing Studio LG

  • Learn basic printmaking techniques and processes.
  • Develop skills in texture, composition, and image transfer.
  • Create original prints through experimentation and creative practice.
